Hi Folks,

 

Welcome to Celestial Scenics.  Our home/gallery is located 4 miles east of the town of Lowell, in the foothills of the Oregon Cascades.  Within a one to two hours' drive are several high elevation sites that provide wonderful vantage points to view and photograph comets, auroras and other astronomical delights.  Lenticular clouds sometimes combine with the view of the stars and moonlit Cascades and the result is magical.

 

There are over 4000 images in my collection including auroras from Alaska and Oregon, orographic clouds, star constellations and aerial hyper stereo slides of Oregon, California and Alaska.  A sample of these are included as jpegs in this website.  All pictures are © John R.
